Junior golfers ages 11-15 from across the country are eligible to compete in this year’s Traditions of Golf Challenge, a one-of-a-kind team event that tests youngsters’ knowledge of the rules, etiquette and history of the game, as well as their playing skills.
The tournament, conducted by Hook A Kid On Golf, will take place on Aug. 5-7 at the Old Orchard Country Club in Mt. Prospect, Ill.
Any youth or junior golf organization or program can bring a team to the Traditions of Golf Challenge. Communities do not have to conduct Hook A Kid On Golf programming to participate. Teams must consist of eight golfers, including a minimum of two girls.
The event kicks off with a practice round, welcome dinner and a variety of fun team activities and is followed by two days of exciting competition that encompasses all aspects of the game.
