The newly released spring issue of SportingKid magazine features a special section recognizing the Coach and Parent of the Year award winners – Utah’s Susan McIntosh-Oldaker and South Carolina’s Donald Moore – as well as the five programs that earned the coveted Excellence in Youth Sports Award for providing the very best when it comes to youth sports programming. Click HERE to read all about what makes these individuals and programs so special.

This issue also includes throwing drills for youth softball coaches to reduce arm injuries, soreness and those dreaded errant throws all youngsters hate from former All-Pac 10 Conference player Heather Holte; tips for parents on refueling their child’s motivational tank and reigniting their passion for playing and enjoying their sports experience; protecting players when lightning strikes; and the importance of keeping players active during the entire practice. NAYS members can read all these articles – and many more – simply by logging in with their Member ID number and password at the left and then clicking on “SportingKid.” Members also have access to past issues of the magazine, which provide a wealth of information on all aspects of youth sports.
