The cost of initial level online membership is $25.00.  If you are already an NYSCA member and you would like to add a sport to your current membership, the cost to add a sport to your membership online is $5.00.  Please have your credit card information (Visa, MasterCard and Discover) accessible when ready to register. 

Step 2 

Log in to view the Introduction to Coaching Youth Sports website and complete part one of the online training. 

The NYSCA Introduction to Coaching Youth Sports website is mandatory viewing for all coaches since there is an insurance benefit associated with the successful completion of the online training.  Any deviation from the online training may jeopardize your coverage. 

You may log out of the Introduction to Coaching Youth Sports website and return
at any time to complete the online clinics, review contents and download forms.

Step 3 

Complete exam after viewing the Introduction to Coaching Youth Sports website.

The exam consists of fifteen multiple choice questions and each question is explained in detail within the Introduction to Coaching Youth Sports website.

Step 4 

Sign Code of Ethics Pledge

Every NYSCA member coach is required to sign and adhere to a Code of Ethics Pledge. The Code of Ethics Pledge is designed to raise the standards for volunteer coaches. Your commitment to adhere to the Code of Ethics Pledge will promote positive values and procedures within your community.

Step 5

Log in  to view the sport specific website and complete part two of the online training.

Viewing of the sport specific website is mandatory for all coaches since there is an insurance benefit associated with the successful completion of the online training.  Any deviation from the online training may jeopardize your coverage.

You must successfully complete a 10-question exam after viewing the sport specific clinic; all questions are multiple choice and are taken from the information you will view on the sport specific website.

You may log out of the sport specific website and return at any time to complete the online clinics, review contents and download forms.

Step 6

Print Initial Level Membership Card

You will receive a membership card with detachable key tag within 2 weeks. Your membership is valid for one year. You will receive a membership renewal notice prior to your membership’s expiration date.
