Five deserving communities receive Excellence Awards at Congress

This marks the 10th year in a row that the National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) and Athletic Business has partnered to present the Excellence in Youth Sports Awards to some really special organizations that conduct outstanding youth sports programs.
Five deserving communities received the prestigious Excellence in Youth Sports Award during the Youth Sports Congress in Orlando, Fla., on Dec. 2-5.
“What really stands out among this year’s recipients is the unbelievable passion they have for providing kids with the best sports experiences possible,” said John Engh, chief operating officer of NAYS.
This year’s award recipients were:
Andrews Youth Sports at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland
Huntersville Parks and Recreation Department in North Carolina
Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Youth Sports in California
Sasebo Youth Sports in Japan
West Point Child, Youth and School Services (CYSS) Sports and Fitness in New York
