NAYS and 2-4-1 Sports to offer special opportunity for members

The National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) and 2-4-1 Sports have teamed up to promote physical literacy within youth sports programming.

League directors and administrators who are members of NAYS will receive discounted programming from 2-4-1 Sports. The programs are designed to encourage young athletes to play more than one sport by providing a camp that offers “sport sampling.” 2-4-1 Sports camps are unique to each location, and allow campers to choose up to three sports to learn each day.

“We are excited for the opportunity to offer our members a way to encourage multi-sport participation within their organization,” said John Engh, executive director of NAYS. “2-4-1 Sports allows young athletes to have fun while building their physical literacy in the process.”

NAYS member organizations, league directors and Certified Youth Sports Administrators (CYSAs) can learn more about how they can request their discounted 2-4-1 Sports camp by logging in to their member account at nays.org.

"Since our beginning over a decade ago, our mission at 2-4-1 Sports has been to bring 'boots on the ground' sport sampling programming to local communities around the United States,” said Steve Boyle, founder of 2-4-1 Sports. “Collaborating with NAYS is a win-win in every sense of the term. The NAYS mission is 'to educate, equip and empower youth sports leaders, volunteers and parents so all children can enjoy the lifelong benefits of sports.' Working together and supporting each other's mission allows us to have a greater collective impact and that's what everyone in the youth sport space should be looking to do."

2-4-1 Sports is the national leader in sports sampling and physical literacy. Following the tagline “Life’s 2 Short 4 Just 1 Sport,” 2-4-1 Sports is built on the principles of Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD).

The National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) educates, equips and empowers youth sports leaders, volunteers and parents so all children can enjoy the lifelong benefits of sports. NAYS, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, partners with more than 3,000 community-based organizations and has trained more than four million adults since 1981.
