The National Alliance for Youth Sports is pleased to welcome several outstanding groups that have become its newest Member Organizations, joining more than 2,500 others nationwide who are committed to providing the best and safest experiences for youth in their communities.
"We at Town 'N Country Baseball have embarked on a campaign to change the culture and face of Town 'N Country Baseball, with an emphasis on quality coaching and innovative ideas for an especially memorable baseball experience,” said Rob Guerrero, President of Town 'N Country Baseball. “We feel that NAYS is that innovation that will help us achieve our goals. Our coaches will receive the quality resources in a fun and convenient way to maximize their volunteer time.”
Adds Georgeanne Soberay, Recreation Coordinator at the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation, “The City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department recently partnered with the NAYS Organization to enhance our coaches’ training program. During the Fall 2021 season coaches from multiple skill levels and sports commented that the training has been beneficial for improving their confidence during practice and games and provides tools to improve their athletes on and off the field and court of play.”
The acclaimed NAYS Coach Training program is available online as well as on-site. The training features insights from some of the most respected coaches around the country, including Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski, Rutgers’ Vivian Stringer, North Carolina’s Roy Williams, Los Angeles Angels manager Joe Maddon, Tulane women’s basketball coach Lisa Stockton, Kansas City Royals manager Mike Matheny, and many more.
NAYS Member Organizations have access to a wide range of tools and resources to improve their youth sports programs: trainings for coaches, parents, league directors and officials; coach evaluations through NAYS’ unique Coach Rating System; and volunteer accountability by adherence to the NAYS Code of Ethics.
There is also a terrific line-up of FREE online programs for members to take advantage of to enhance their knowledge in a variety of areas impacting youth sports, including Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training, Protecting Against Abuse Training, Bullying Prevention Training, and more.
