Q:

Where do I log in if my local NAYS Member Organization already registered me for the NAYS Coach Training?

A:

If you have previously been registered, you should have received an email notification with your training login information. Your local Member Organization will also be able to provide you with this information. Log in here with your information to begin the training.

Q:

What if my membership has expired and I need to add a new sport to my membership?

A:

You will first need to renew your membership. To renew your membership, click on the Renew Today button on the NAYS Coach Training Homepage or you can access the renewal page though your Member Area at nays.org. Once you have renewed your membership, you can log in to the NAYS Coach Training to add your additional sport. You can log in immediately following the confirmation of your renewal.

Q:

How long should it take to complete the NAYS Coach Training?

A:

It should take approximately 2 hours to complete the NAYS Coach Training which includes the Coaching Youth Sports video and a sport specific video. However, it depends on each individual's pace.

Q:

How long should it take to complete an additional sport training?

A:

Each of the sport specific videos is different in length. However, it should take you approximately 1 hour to view a sport specific video and complete the sport specific exam. The additional sport training does not require viewing the Coaching Youth Sports video, completing the Coaching Youth Sports Exam or signing the Code of Ethics Pledge.

Q:

What if I complete the registration process, and decide to complete the NAYS Coach Training at a later time?

A:

You may log in and out of the NAYS Coach Training at any time. To log back in, go to the Training Login section of the NAYS Coach Training Homepage and enter your login information (email and password created during the registration process). Once on the Training Menu you will be able to begin the training.

Q:

What if I completed the NAYS Coach Training at an on-site training but I would like to add a sport to my membership online?

A:

To add a sport online to your existing membership, you must first create an online profile (email and password), which is option 2 under the Sign Up section. Once you are logged into your member area, select a sport from the sidebar. The cost of each additional sport is $5 per sport.

Q:

Can a coach who is younger than 18 years old complete the NAYS Coach Training?

A:

For insurance purposes, a NAYS Coach 16-17 years of age must be coaching under the supervision of a NAYS Coach 18 years of age or older.  NAYS membership is not available for coaches under the age of 16.

Q:

How soon after completing the training will I receive my membership card?

A:

Membership cards are typically received between 2-3 weeks after the completion of the training depending on location.

Q:

What if I need to show my league proof of membership right away?

A:

You can print a temporary membership card, which includes your membership ID#, in your Member Area at nays.org.
